Shining For A Second Century
We might be over a hundred years old, but new things are happening! If you take a peek at us on any given Sunday you will see that we are a place of International Gathering. Our love for God and the world has enabled us to open our doors to the community. In taking Christ commandment to love neighbor as self, we have begun working with refugees in our neighborhood.
Miraculously, God opened the doors for us to participate in other ministries as well.
Our English speaking service is held at 10:45 a.m. by the St. Peter's United Church of Christ in the Sanctuary. At 9:00a.m. the Haitian congregation, Fraternity Church of Christ, meets in the Spotts chapel and the service is in French. At 1:00pm. the Chin Christian Fellowship, a Burmese congregation holds their service in Spotts chapel. At 6:00pm. The La Senda Iglesia gathers for worship there too. This service is in Spanish.
We participate in serving meals to the homeless, provide supplies for single mothers and their children, visit residents in nursing homes and retirement centers, join in work with Native American Indians, actively fight against cancer through the American Cancer Society, participate in the local Crop Walk, engage with our denomination in overseas and at home missions, support Habitat for Humanity, and much more. We are a church with a love for justice and a passion for caring for others! Call us for a visit and a tour.
